Qualified, experienced flexible supply/crèche bank staff required

- now taking applications from practitioners qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in early years childcare.

Thanet Early Years Project requires childcare practitioners, qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Early Years Childcare, with relevant experience of working in a professional early years environment, to join our bank of staff.      Our crèches are located at various locations through the Thanet area.

Although there is no guarantee of regular hours, the majority of crèches are either morning or afternoon during term time, therefore there may be the opportunity for you to work hours which fit in with other commitments.

The bank of staff also supplies our nursery settings with cover when required, and you could be asked to work any time between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday to fill vacancies in the nurseries and it may be that you could be asked to work during the half term and holiday periods.   Again, the hours are not guaranteed and you will be employed on a casual basis on the staff bank.

It is essential that the successful candidates have a flexible attitude to working hours and location of work.

FAQs

Can I send in a CV?

You may provide a CV to accompany your application form but we do not accept CV's on their own. You must complete all sections of the application form to provide our shortlisting panel with the information they require to score your application against the shortlisting criteria.

Where do I return my application form to?

Please send this into Maria Knight at Head Office, the Curran Building, Newlands Primary School, Dumpton Lane, Ramsgate CT11 7AJ.

When returning your application form, please ensure that you have put the correct postage on the envelope. If you use a C4 (large) envelope, you will need to pay large letter postage which is more than the standard first or second class cost. Please check with the post office. Understamped mail is retained by the sorting office until collected and a fee paid, and therefore it has been decided that TEYP can no longer afford to collect incorrectly stamped mail. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that your application reaches this office by the closing date.

What is the closing date?

The closing date for each vacancy is clearly stated on the advert and in the covering letter sent with the application form. Please ensure that your completed application form reaches Head Office by midday on the closing date as late applications will not be accepted.

What happens then?

Once the closing date has been reached, the applications are sent for shortlisting. If you have made the shortlist, we will write to you inviting you to interview. It is clearly stated on the advert that if you do not hear from us by a specified date, you will not have been shortlisted, and no further correspondence will be sent to you regarding that post. However, feedback may be obtained by contacting Maria on 01843 591200 who will arrange for the recruiting manager to telephone you.
